We are aware that many of you are currently awaiting the decision from the Welsh Government about the policy for Wales moving forward after the lockdown period ends in England on Weds 2nd December. There is currently much speculation and suggestions about what the new policy will be but no formal announcement has been made yet. We expect this annoucnement to be made on Monday 30th November 2020 and will contact all guests in the days following this who have bookings with us in December 2020.
We are governed by the policy for Wales and therefore must wait for this announcement before we can make any decisions on future bookings regardless of what the current policy in England may be.

We will be contacting those guests who are due to arrive with us in the immediate days after the 2nd of December 2020 first and work forward from there. As of 6pm on Friday 23rd October 2020 Wales is entering into a national lockdown for a period of 17 days ending Monday 9th November 2020.
All bookings with an arrival date commencing between these dates have been automatically suspended and we have been working hard to communicate with each individual booking who have been directly affected by this.
At present we have no further information about after this period and we will update you as we hear further. Any booking with an arrival date of/after Monday 9th November 2020 at present is proceeding as planned providing that you are travelling from a TIER 1 area and your party consists of no more than 6 adults and those who are in your existing ‘bubble’

Following on from Mark Drakeford’s announcement on Weds 14th Oct 2020 we have updated our FAQ below in the hope that it will answer any concerns you may have about your future booking
Q. What is the current COVID policy for Wales as of Weds 14th Oct 2020?
We are still currently adhering to the COVID rule of 6 in Wales for all areas of the UK currently in TIER 1. This means that no more than 6 adults can gather inside at any one time. These 6 adults must belong to the same existing ‘bubble’ and can comprise of 4 different households. Children under 11 are exempt from this rule. Children over 11 are classed as an adult in this rule. There are no travel restrictions that prevent anyone from a TIER 1 area from travelling to Wales at present.
Q. What is the new policy as of Weds 14th Oct 2020?
In addition to the above policy, Wales have announced that as of 6pm on Friday 16th Oct 2020 they are preparing to enforce a blanket bank for anyone in TIER 2 or TIER 3 from coming on holiday to Wales. Areas considered to be COVID hotspots in the UK.
Q. Does that mean my area?
The below areas are currently classed as being restricted from being able to travel to Wales as of 6pm on Fri 16th Oct 2020
• Cheshire West and Chester
• Cheshire East
• High Peak - the wards of Tintwistle, Padfield, Dinting, St John's, Old Glossop, Whitfield, Simmondley, Gamesley, Howard Town, Hadfield South and Hadfield North
• Blackburn with Darwen
• South Tyneside
• North Tyneside
• Redcar and Cleveland
• Oadby and Wigston
• Nottingham City
Very high risk
Liverpool City Region - gyms, leisure centres, betting shops, casinos and adult gaming centres must close as well
• St Helens
Q. What should I do if I am from one of these areas and due to travel?
If you are from one of the above areas and due to travel within the next 4 weeks (arriving before or on Thurs 12th Nov 2020) Please send us an email identifying this and we will address each booking on an individual basis. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org – please email us.
Q. Can I get a refund if I am restricted from travel?
If you are from a restricted area and unable to travel, we will kindly request that you move your booking across to a future date at no extra cost. If you are unable to move your booking then we will issue a refund. The initial £15.00 booking fee is non-refundable.
Q. What about if I am due to arrive after 15th Nov 2020?
If your arrival date is after 15th Nov 2020, we are kindly requesting at present that we wait for further announcement on future travel restrictions at this time.
Q. I have a Christmas / New Year booking and cannot travel at present due to the current restrictions, should I cancel now?
For all those guests with Christmas and New Year bookings we have set review date of 6 weeks prior to your arrival date to make an executive decision at this time whether we need to cancel your booking. If restrictions are still in place which prohibits you from travelling at 6 weeks before your arrival then we will offer you the option to move your booking or cancel your booking and receive a refund.
Q. What if I am travelling from within Wales but my local area is in lockdown?
If you are residing in Wales and are currently in an area of local lockdown you are strongly advised not to travel to an area with no lockdown. If this applies to you please contact us by email (email@example.com) and we will address each booking on an individual basis. These areas include
Bangor, Blaenau Gwent County Borough, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Denbighshire, Flintshire. Llanelli , Merthyr Tydfil, Port Talbot, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea , Torfaen , Vale of Glamorgan , Wrexham.
Q. I am due to pay the balance of my holiday now should I still do so?
If you are currently residing in a TIER 1 part of the UK then you must continue to make your contractual balance payments. In the event of further restrictions or your area being upgraded to a TIER 2 or TIER 3 level then you will be eligible for a refund.
Q. Should I pay my balance now if I am in a TIER 2 or TIER 3 area?
At present balance payments are due 4 weeks before travelling (usually 8 weeks). If you have yet to make a balance payment 4 weeks prior to travelling and are in a TIER 2 or TIER 3 area you need to contact us a matter of urgency to address your booking.
Q. I am uncomfortable with travelling but am in a TIER 1 area – can I get a refund?
If you have decided you do not wish to travel at present then we will allow you to move your booking across to a future date free of charge. We require a minimum notice period of 6 weeks for all future bookings arriving after 26th Nov 2020.
Q. Do I need to do anything different during our stay?
Before you travel you should be receiving our COVID guest arrival information email. Please inform us if you have not received this. It contains important information about your arrival and departure time in addition to what you will need to bring with you at this time.
Q. What if I am in a TIER 1 area can I still come for my holiday?
Most of the UK currently remain in TIER 1 and there are no restrictions in place to prevent you from travelling to Wales and coming for your holiday providing that your reservation adheres to the COVID rule of 6.
Q. Is there a review date for the above?
We will be monitoring and reviewing the situation on a daily basis and our policy will be dynamic and in line with the policy for Wales as it changes.
Q. What if there is a national lockdown when I am due to travel?
If there is a national lockdown at the time when you are due to travel, we will kindly ask you to move your booking across to a future date and support our small business. In the event that you are unable to move your booking and wish to cancel – we will issue a full refund less the initial £15.00 booking fee.
Q. How do I pay the balance of my holiday?
As we are experiencing high call volumes and enquires and working with minimum staff, we ask that you please kindly pay your balance payment by bank transfer. Our account details are as follows: SANDOWN PROPERTIES LTD, SORT CODE 20 51 08, ACC NO 63778258.
Q5. What reference should I use?
It is very important that we can identify your payment. Please ensure in the reference you use the surname of the individual who made the booking and your arrival date. For example, JONES 0511 (JONES party arriving 5th of November).

Excellent Family Home in the Beautiful seaside village of Aberdaron. This home from home property has ground floor accommodation and bathroom and offers a peaceful haven for guests.
Fabulous place , views from living room and bedroom beautiful could sit and look at it all day sat on the long window seat . This place has such a homely feel in which u just want to relax and watch the world go by. - The Headland
